What’s this?

It’s a sort of personal (and public) wiki with random thoughts with various levels of quality and elaborateness.

It’s my alternative to a blog: I always struggled with publishing “production-ready” blog posts vs the number of drafts I have. Some were too short for a standalone post. Some, I was too lazy to research in-depth. Nevertheless, chronological order is definitely inapproriate for most of the content of what I have here!

A wiki is my way to break this deadlock - to end up publishing more, and worry less about it. It’s here for your entertainment, and for me, for reference.

I have a more formal intro I’ll copy over from my Linkedin. I know it’s a horrible place, but in my field, there’s no other option. I mostly post on quant finance related content, no AI slop, but some promotion of our data products: Add me there

I’m a quant portfolio manager / researcher / engineer (ex-CTO, ex-poker pro) / exited entrepreneur. But unlike what the previous sentence, I consider myself actually low-key & humble. With Unravel, we’ve built on a unique research & portfolio construction platform that to uncover & trade cross-sectional alpha factors in crypto - from oder book derived data to fundamentals.

Previously, I co-founded Drops, the language learning app, where most of the time, I wore the CTO then CRO / data hat. We sold it to Kahoot in 2020, after bootstrapping the company to 25 million users. I developed and designed complex infrastructure, silly games and I have had the fortune to work with great people. If you ask me, functional programming should be considered a competitive advantage.
